Coming soon…Futuropolis, the biggest Big Draw so far!

October 29th, 30th and 31st will be Big Draw at the De La Warr Pavilion. For it I have designed a huge sculptural installation of “Futuropolis”, an imaginary city of the future. The simple slotted forms will provide surfaces for the public to draw on. The idea is that over the three days of the event, the entire installation will be covered with images of potential designs for future buildings, modes of transport, leisure spaces, even designer fruit and vegetables! I’ve been hard at work drawing up and and cutting out (with technician Chris) all the structures that will form the piece in the auditorium at the Pavilion. The following images document some of the processes.
