Autumn 2015. This international architecture competition was launched to invite designs for five iconic beach huts, which will be constructed on Eastbourne seafront. The competition attracted 50 entrants from around the world. Of the five huts, one was to be designed by a member of the local community. I led a series of community and schools workshops focusing on 3D thinking and design skills. In the end, this category of the competition attracted 60 submissions – which was very inspiring.
